Author Biography

Susan Gosin grew up as a member of five generations of commercial papermakers in Wisconsin. After receiving her MFA at The University of Wisconsin, Madison, she co-founded Dieu Donné in New York City in 1976. She has been involved in the field of hand papermaking as an artist, educator, writer, lecturer and collaborator for 50 years. Her work has been exhibited and collected by institutions such as MoMA, NY, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY and The Getty, LA. She has received numerous awards including a National Endowment for the Arts, a Tiffany Award and the Printmaker Emeritus Award from the Southern Graphics Council. She is a member of The Century Association and The Grolier Club in New York City. Presently, she serves as Co-Chair of Dieu Donné Papermill and as President of Dieu Donné Press.
