Corners of the Mouth is an anthology spanning over a thirty year period from 1984 to 2013. This book includes featured and selected readers at the annual Corners of the Mouth San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival. New and previously published poems from nationally and locally celebrated writers. Edited by co-founder of the festival, Kevin Patrick Sullivan and his wife, Patti Sullivan.
Author Biography
KEVIN PATRICK SULLIVAN Kevin Patrick Sullivan's books include, First Sight, The Space Between Things, and Under Such Brilliance. His poems appear in such journals as ASKEW, SOLO, CAFÉ SOLO, Hummingbird and several anthologies including most recently THE SECOND GENESIS, An Anthology of Contemporary World Poetry, published in India and on the web at OTHER VOICES INTERNATIONAL and YOU-TUBE. He was declared a "cultural asset" by the City Council of San Luis Obispo in 2001. He is a past Poet Laureate of San Luis Obispo and is the Co-Founder / Curator of the Annual San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival and the monthly reading series Corners of the Mouth. He founded Poetry at the Steynberg in 2011 and is Co-Organizer of the local 100 Thousand Poets/Musicians for Change event in SLO. BIO Patti Sullivan Patti Sullivan is the author of two chapbooks, For the Day, DeerTree Press and Not Fade Away, Finishing Line Press. Her poems have appeared in Solo Novo, Café Solo, Artlife, Askew, and Hummingbird. Her visual art works across media and has been shown in San Luis Obispo and in print. She assists with the long-running Annual San Luis Obispo Poetry Festival and the two monthly series', Corners of the Mouth at Linnaea's Café and Poetry at the Steynberg.
