Using the case of the Church of the Nazarene, it examines historical-contextual roots of cultures and their worldviews. The book goes on to compare and contrast how the two cultures understand the concepts of space and time, self and other, relationships, and causality. The study explores the acculturation process and culminates by presenting hermeneutical tools for contextualizing the biblical concepts of holiness, conversion, and ecclesiology among Korean immigrants.

Author Biography

In-Gyeong Kim Lundell is Co-Pastor of Walnut Blessing Church of the Nazarene in Walnut, CA.
