Eugene studied Philosophy at St. Petersburg State University and worked in the State Hermitage Museum. In 2013 he published his first book on \u003ci\u003eTitanic\u003c\/i\u003e, which he worked on for more than ten years, and which became the largest written work about \u003ci\u003eTitanic\u003c\/i\u003e available in Russian (in two editions). He has published articles on \u003ci\u003eTitanic across\u003c\/i\u003e Russian and English language media and has lectured widely.
