BOOK SUMMARY (Book III): In this third and final volume, the United States of America continues to slide into totalitarianism just as the newly minted republic from the breakaway state of Wyoming gets its beginnings. Other states join the republic, but their initiative is quickly threatened. A despotic ruler emerges within the USA as that nation decays, replacing Mr. President with First Citizen and In God We Trust with a new Constitution 2.0. The USA becomes the USSA (the United Socialist States of America), and its first act is to send an ultimatum to the republic -- "Surrender or die!" The war drums beat, and the sabers rattle as both sides prepare for war. The battle lines are drawn, as conflict between the two neighbors seems inevitable. The clash of diametrically opposite ideologies is at hand, and they ready their forces for combat. In a land so long united by a common people and cause, the ultimate outcome is as explosive as it is traumatic.

Author Biography

The author has written numerous novels, many of which are trilogies or multi-volume sets that span different types of book genre from fantasies and murder mysteries to horror stories and allegories. He has been cited for his creativity and fresh approach to books written in each of these book categories. The ATLAS Trilogy is the only novel series Gregory Phillips has penned using that nom de plume. Books authored in each genre are inked using a unique pseudonym most fitting to that style writing. Phillips lives with his family in the Chicago area.
