Author Biography

Shirley Jean Murphy-Mckellar, a native of Greenville, North Carolina, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from North Carolina A&T State University and is certified by the board of American Society of Clinical Pathology. She is employed as a Cytotechnologist with Laboratory Corporation of America in Burlington, North Carolina. Shirley resides in Greensboro, North Carolina with her husband of nearly 28 years, James, Sr. They have two adult sons, James, II and Jeremy. She and her family attend Mt. Zion United Church of God, where she and her husband serve in various capacities including leaders for the Covenant Couples Marriage Ministry and teachers for their Sunday School. After experiencing the life- threatening disease of Systemic Lupus as a college student, Shirley is very passionate about her activities as she lives out her purpose and values each and every day of her life.
