Author's note:
Ili pikas are real animals but were discovered only recently. They are already considered endangered due to rising temperatures in their mountain home. My hope is that this book helps bring attention to the ili pika and the changes brought on by a warming world. But at the same time, the book highlights the universal joys of being with friends . . . and outside . . . and in the snow . . . and last, but certainly not least, the fun sports of SKIING and SNOWBOARDING.
