Author Biography

As a resident of New Port Richey for fifty years, Gary Vitacco-Robles is the city's historian and advocate. "Gary is the heartbeat of our community, reviving the past and preserving the history for our future," wrote mayoral candidate Kate Connolly. In 2024, he released New Port Richey's Hacienda Hotel: A Haven for Silent Screen Stars, Literati, and Sports Legends. Gary is the administrator of the popular Facebook group "New Port Richey History," a director of West Pasco Historical Society, and a member of New Port Richey Main Street Inc.'s Design and Art Committees.
