John Cumbler is a retired history and environmental studies professor who lives in Wellfleet, MA where he builds boats and rescues large marine mammals. Mary Knowland is a retired art teacher who lives in Dennis on Cape Cod and is an enthusiastic supporter of the Cape's environment and children's literature which she shared with her grandchildren.
