Author Biography
Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation (www.QueenQuet.com) is an author, computer scientist, mathematician, environmentalists, preservationists, and historian. Her native Gullah/Geechee roots stem from St. Helena and Polowana Islands, SC in the Gullah/Geechee Nation. She has received the "Living Legacy Award" amongst many other honors. Her first anthology was the award winning, "Legacy of Ibo Landing: Gullah Roots of African American Culture." She has also written a series on Gullah/Geechee history, heritage, and culture under the title, "Gullah/Geechee: Africa's Seeds in the Winds of the Diaspora." Queen Quet is a world renown and sought after speaker and educator with an array of accolades and awards.
