It is based on a publication of the time by Johann Ernst Meyer entitled: 'Zustand der Königlichen Preussischen Armee im Jahr 1786 und kurzgefa te Geschichte dieses Heeres von seiner Stiftung an bis auf die jetzigen Zeiten' (The State of the Royal Prussian Army in 1786 and a Brief History of this Army from its Foundation to the Present Day).
