Roberts Karen's focus on education, promoting a positive message of compassion and the importance of responsible pet ownership provide children with heartwarming stories to read again and again. As an animal rescue volunteer, the inspiration for her books comes from personal experiences. Karen believes its never too soon to educate using important themes of kindness, generosity and compassion. Her goal is to raise funding and awareness for animal rescue groups and the plight of the overabundance of shelter dogs in the US. Roberts is a mom to five dogs and one cat all living peacefully as a pack. She has a degree in English from Syracuse University.
