He is a past member of the Boxing Writers Association of America, Ring Magazine's Rating Panel, Yahoo's Boxing Rating Panel and was formerly the editor of Asian Boxing News. In 2007, the Boxing Writers Association of America awarded him with an honorary mention for investigative reporting.
