Included in this volume are two reviews of \u003ci\u003eThe Primacy of the Common Good\u003c\/i\u003e, by Yves R. Simon and I. Thomas Eschmann, O.P., and De Koninck's substantial response to Eschmann in his lengthy \"In Defence of St. Thomas.\" The volume concludes with a group of short essays: \"The Dialectic of Limits as Critique of Reason,\" \"Notes on Marxism,\" \"This Is a Hard Saying,\" \"[Review of] \u003ci\u003eBetween Heaven and Earth\u003c\/i\u003e,\" and \"Concept, Process, and Reality.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eAuthor Biography\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eCharles De Koninck was on the faculty of Québec's Université de Laval and was director of Laval's philosophy faculty from 1939 to 1956.
