Although\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethese verses are primarily from Kashmir Shaivite sources, Swamiji\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ealso included verses from Vedāntic texts such as the Yoga Vāsiṣtha and\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethe Rāmāyaṇa. Every Sunday, he would reveal the meaning of one or\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003etwo of these verses to his devotees in Kashmir.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe following year, Swamiji traveled to Nepal with his nephew, \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eInder Krishen Raina, to meet with John and Denise Hughes and\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003etheir two children with the express intent of sharing these important\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003everses with them. He gave daily lectures, translating and explaining\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethe essence of these verses. We are eternally grateful to John for his\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003evigilance in recording Swamiji's revelation of these special verses.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDuring one of Swamiji's lectures, John asked him why he had com-\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003epiled these different verses. Swamiji replied, \"I compiled these ślo-\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ekas with the intention of sharing them with you.\" When asked about\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ethe references for these verses, Swamiji said, \"It is not for research. It\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eis for your daily recitation. Maybe sometime you will experience these\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003estages. Treat it as another independent book for your recitation.
