by Hank Brooks (Author)
These two novellas are written as separate tales strung together by a common theme. Tales of Rick and Alec concerns two homeless youths as they struggle to make their way in the world. They find themselves going from rags to riches. Each tale progresses their story, describes their adventures along the way, and introduces the colorful characters that flit in and out of their lives, and the ones who remain with them forever.Tales of the Country Club has as a common theme the fictional West Lost Angeles Country Club. There are overlapping characters in each story, but each tale stands on its own. They are tales of gay love, overt and latent, but in the end fate brings each lover to the place he belongs and to the lover he belongs with.
