Author Biography
Andrew K. J. Tan was born and raised in Singapore, where he spent his first twenty years, before going on scholarship to Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. A top student and member of Phi Beta Kappa (the oldest American academic honors society), he earned a Bachelor in Economics (Distinction) along with a Master in Management Science and Engineering in four years. While at Stanford he was selected to be head academic counselor of a sixty-person dorm, and supervised a team of peer advisers. He also managed over forty tutors to provide subject tutoring for the entire undergraduate community. At the age of twenty-four he became Site Director of the Stanford Asia Technology Initiative, where he helped set up the inaugural Global Entrepreneurship Conference in Singapore. Andrew has written for Teens Magazine, is the author of bestseller The Student's Guide to Life, and is currently a fund manager at a global investment firm. In his spare time he loves to read, sing and dream.
