Author Biography
ALAN BOOTH is Reader in Economic History at University of Exeter, UK. He has previously held positions in the Departments of Economic and Social History at University of Nottingham and University of Sheffield. He was also a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Economic Research at Hitotsubashi University in Japan. He has authored, edited and contributed to numerous books on the subjects relating to economic and social history.
