Lucasville, is an historical black community that is in between the 2 nearby historical black communities of Upper Hammonds Plains and Maroon Hill. Other than some oral stories, church, cemetery, marriage and news paper articles significant historical accounts of Lucasville were only found in the Nova Scotia Archives or local museums. Part of the purpose of this book is to get an accurate account of Lucasville's origin and history over the almost 200 years.
