She is the author of seven volumes of short stories and seven novels including \u003cem\u003eThe Man from Bashmour \u003c\/em\u003e(AUC Press, 2007) which was named one of the 105 Top Literary Works of the Twentieth Century by the Arab Writers Union and was shortlisted for the Saif-Banipal Prize for Literary Translation.
