by Richard Senate (Author)
The Olivas Adobe was built in 1842 by Raymundo Olivas as the Main House for his vast San Miguel Ranch in Ventura County, Southern California. Today it is a museum telling the story of the Rancho History of the state and the pioneer Latino Olivas Family that helped to build Ventura as a community. It has long been rumored haunted and over the decades many have seen and reported odd happenings here. The first to be seen a mysterious "Lady-in-Black" who walks the second floor of the house. Over the years others have joined her haunting vigil, a little girl in a white nightdress, a little boy and even a ghostly dog. This collection of sightings dates back many years and includes events that have happened as late as 2023. The author, Richard Senate, believes this is perhaps one of the most haunted sites in all California if not the American West.
