Art has taken her on a phenomenal journey wherein she has taught formal art classes internationally whilst residing in the Philippines, as well as in her home country for a total of 20 plus years. Whilst studying through UNISA (University of South Africa), she branched into a new way of teaching, thus developed her 'Art Therapy' classes, which birthed in Johannesburg in 1998. As an Artist, Publisher and 'Therapist', Deanne's love for children and passion for life has led her to write and illustrate educational books ranging from Grade R - 12, collectively resulting in over 60 Educational books produced to date. Deanne's zest for life, writing, teaching and passion never ceased after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 1993. Given a second chance has been the greatest gift and she wants to share what she has discovered with all whom cross her path.
