Born in Trinidad, he has been a pioneer supporting the development of 'black arts' for over 40 years. He co-founded and managed \u003ci\u003eMystics \u0026amp; the Israelites\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eKokuma Dance Company\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eDanse de L' Afrique\u003c\/i\u003e between the 1970s and 1980s and was appointed the first Director of the \u003ci\u003eBlack Dance Development Trust\u003c\/i\u003e. Bob established The Handsworth Cultural Centre and The CAVE Arts Centre and researched, edited and published three Black arts directories. He also co-founded and managed \u003ci\u003eBlack Voices\u003c\/i\u003e for over 22 years.
