Divided into 22 umbrella chapters, it draws from the Old and the New Testaments, including reflections based on material from the psalms, wisdom literature, prophetic writings, and New Testament epistles. The meditations, though devotional in nature, bypass the simplistic, engaging readers in thought-provoking discussions and challenges that go beyond the obvious or the trite.
Author Biography
A former editor in the Bible Department at HarperCollins Christian Publishing/Zondervan, Donna Huisjen has for several years enjoyed full-time writing and freelance editing, along with various volunteer activities. Several of Huisjen's published works are available on Amazon, and her devotions, articles, puzzles, stories, and poems have appeared in numerous periodicals. The single adoptive mother of three now grown daughters, she makes her home near Grand Rapids, Michigan.
