God created an unbreakable covenant with Christ and called it the New Covenant. It had conditions plus rewards. One of those rewards was eternal life in Heaven.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe difference between this Covenant, or contract, and the previous Covenant was the priesthood. A new contract was drawn up because the priesthood had changed. The establishment of a new priesthood was the basis of the New Covenant.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eFor when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law. Hebrews 7:12\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGod took the priesthood out of the hands of the Levites and gave it to Christ. Christ became God's new and permanent High Priest, with the title King of Kings, over a new \u003cem\u003ekingdom of priests\u003c\/em\u003e, and his role was to personally lead this new \u003cem\u003epriesthood of all believers. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eYou have made them to be a kingdom of priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth. Revelation 5:10\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAll the new laws, rewards and promises attached to God's New Covenant with Christ, including eternal life, were specific to this priesthood arrangement. Under this arrangement, only members of Christ's\u003cem\u003e kingdom of priests\u003c\/em\u003e could be rewarded with Heaven.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe terms of the contract were fixed!\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBut then came a shocking development. A Roman Emperor, Constantine, conscripted the promises attached to God's New Covenant and illegally attached them to his new political religious structure. His aim was to bring all religions under his control and create a single unified religion run by his newly made-up priesthood, a clergy class that would answer to him.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhen Constantine took the 'priesthood' out of the hands of \u003cem\u003eall believers\u003c\/em\u003e and put it into the hands of his paid clergy class, he stepped outside the terms of God's contract with Christ. He had no authority to create a new priesthood and claim it belonged to Christ. He was not God! This contract was not his to change.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThen he illegally promised rewards he had no authority to promise.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eConstantine established his religion on the false premise that he had the authority to promise eternal life to all who followed his paid clergy class. But eternal life was not his to grant.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eWhat he did was deceive people into believing they could have eternal life without being part of Christ's \u003cem\u003ekingdom of priests\u003c\/em\u003e. And that is just not true! A contract is a contract!\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGOD KEEPS HIS WORD! HE WILL NOT BREAK HIS CONTRACT WITH HIS SON!\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBeing a follower of Christ is different from going to church. Being part of Christ's \u003cem\u003ekingdom of priests - the priesthood of all believers -\u003c\/em\u003e is different from submitting to credentialed clergy.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe assumption that we can abandon the Covenant priesthood set up by Christ, follow paid clergy and denominational religion instead, and still gain eternal life is the greatest deception since the fall.
