Author Biography

Pia Lord holds two B.A degrees, and an M.S. in Space Science. She attended undergraduate college at Columbia University, Barnard College in NYC. She has written 13 books on varying topics including volcanoes, space science, music and poetry, planetary science fiction, butterfly life cycle and sports skiing stories. In writing her books, she likes to collaborate with artists and scientists, as well as her son. Her interests include reading, open water swimming, skiing and playing the piano. She sings in the church choir as a first soprano. She lives with her husband and son in New Jersey, United States of America.
