The stories portray the area through the eyes of many who were longtime residents of the area in the 1980s and whose memories went back to a few years after Whitefish's settlement. The story \"Skiing Past\" is almost entirely taken from notes taken from interviews with some founders of The Big Mountain Ski Area; George Prentice, Ed Schenk and Mully Muldown.
