Besides anatase TiO\u003csub\u003e2\u003c\/sub\u003e, rutile TiO\u003csub\u003e2\u003c\/sub\u003e with oxygen vacancies also demonstrated marvelous photoluminescence emission properties. In addition, the cutting-edge progress in black TiO\u003csub\u003e2\u003c\/sub\u003e nanomaterials are summarized in this issue.
