(2) When used as a software engineering tutorial, it can be used to provide a detailed software engineering education to university-level software engineering students. (3)When used as a software engineering study guide, this document can impart software engineering knowledge to assist practicing software engineers to take and pass the new IEEE Professional Software Engineering Master (PSEM) Certification exams. (4) When used as a software engineering overview, this book can be referenced by journeyman programmers to improve their background and understanding of software engineering fundamentals. This book will provide a comprehensive overview of software engineering knowledge and skills necessary for a well-qualified programmer to become an entry level "software engineer."

Author Biography

Richard Hall Thayer, PhD, CSDP, has managed, lectured, researched, and taught software for many years.
