by Mary Sheppard (Author)
Shenandoah Pride is the culmination of the Hills of Pride Trilogy, Mary Sheppard's saga of Winchester, Virginia, and young Jamelle Montgomery, a girl whose coming of age to womanhood coincided with the War Between the States. As Winchester was continually torn between the Confederacy and the Union, changing hands almost a dozen times during the conflict, so Jamie finds herself torn between the love of two very different men, both veterans of the war. As the war ends, Shenandoah Pride begins. Only, as Jamie discovers, the violence, loss and death are not at an end.
