Before that, he served as interim California State University Associate Dean of Academic Programs and as editor of \u003ci\u003eBoom California\u003c\/i\u003e, taught at Cal State Fullerton, and was also a postdoctoral fellow at Ridley Hall, Cambridge. He has held visiting fellowships at UC Berkeley's Center for the Study of Religion, UC Berkeley's Center for Law and Society, UC Riverside's Center for Ideas and Society, and USC's Center for Religion and Civic Culture.
