Summary
Moxxi wonders if there is more to their existence than the lifelong task that has been imposed upon them by the Roman God of Death, Mors.
After taking a secret temporary reprieve of their duties, they find themself in a strange land filled with eternal names they don't recognize. This lands them in a dizzying dream world where they spot the lost soul of a small child.
Knowing it's their duty to help, they reach out to the wandering spirit, but no good deed goes unpunished. Soon they find all their powers have vanished and they've landed in a world that is clearly not controlled by any of the traditional pantheons.
