John Barrale's poems and flash fiction have been published in numerous online and print publications. Most recently, his work has appeared in Unrorean, East Meets West-American Writers Review, Icon, Narrative Northeast, Pidgeonholes, Passager, Sensations Magazine, Molotov Cocktail, and the NinaAlvarez.net + Cosmographia Books "Poem of the Month." Along with five other "Gang of Five" members, John hosts and curates a monthly poetry reading series called "The Red Wheelbarrow" at The William Carlos Williams Center in Rutherford, NJ. In 2012, John joined the volunteer staff of "The Rutherford Red Wheel Barrow" poetry anthologies as one of its two managing editors. He is also managing editor of "The Red Wheelbarrow Poem of the Week" anthologies. John was born in New York City in 1949, and attended C.U.N.Y community colleges earning a B.A. in English Literature graduating in 1971. Since 1978 John has lived in New Jersey and is currently working hard at being retired, spending most of his tome time writing, reading, and hiking in the U.S. and Canadian national parks.
