It was a formative time of my life. I was married to the love of my life and father of two young boys. But I was influenced by the tensions between my work environment and the natural world around me. It was a period when a mid-life crisis made itself felt. So my naïve poetry provided a form of release from my concerns about the state of society and the relentless onslaught on the natural world by population growth, housing sprawl and suchlike. It was a time when \"Greenie\" was a dirty word in conservative society. I felt like a hypocrite to both sides of the argument.
