Uriel Weinreich was of the innovative and creative thinkers in the field of semantics in the twentieth century. Author Biography
William Labov, a student of Weinreich's, is Professor of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania. Beatrice S. Weinreich, folklorist and cultural geographer, worked closely with her husband, Uriel Weinreich, for twenty years.
