Author Biography
Mike Denney graduated from medical school at the University of Michigan in 1959. After many years of practicing, teaching, and writing as a trauma surgeon, Mike went back to school at Pacifica Graduate Institute, and earned a PhD degree in depth psychology. His dissertation is entitled Body, Soul and Medicine. He is author of Second Opinion (Grosset & Dunlap, 1979) and many articles in scientific journals and popular magazines. Currently, Mike is adjunct faculty at John F. Kennedy University, the California Institute of Integral Studies, and at Pacifica Graduate Institute. He practices psychological and somatic counseling at his office in Sausalito, and writes and teaches about his passion for the union of science and spirituality in the healing arts. He was Editor of San Francisco Medicine, the Journal of the San Francisco Medical Society from 2006-2010.
