She was a terminal care nurse with a despressive alcoholic writer of a husband and two spotty teenage sons to deal with as well as her many patients. And a rabbit.

Too much work. Too much bureaucracy. Never enough money. The last chink of light was the martial arts.

He was clearly all kinds of trouble. Hideous facial tattoo; shaved head; Harley.

He was also lying to her, just like everyone else.

And just like that, her life blew up. Literally.
