Author Biography
Nikos Linardakis grew up in Oak Brook, Illinois. As a writer, he worked in Chicago and New York, gathering themes from around the world of love, family, loss, hurt, healing and joy. He published over a dozen books as past Editor-in-Chief with McGraw-Hill Companies in New York and with Gibbs-Smith Publishers. He has also written several articles and monographs as the Director of Clinical Research for The Natural Standard in Cambridge, Massachusetts, El Mero, and in the journal Sleep & Health. Nikos attended Benedictine University with a degree in Biology, Masters of Science program in Applied Physiology and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Health Sciences/The Chicago Medical School. His love of poetry has spanned his entire life, and began as a musician and bass guitarist, while he and his brothers' band first performed in Chicago in the early 1970's. He is the father of three children and is fluent in English, Spanish and Greek languages, and learning Pashto. LOVE, Poems of Longing is his first book of poetry.
