She studied philosophy, theatre studies and German literature at Freie Universät Berlin, and completed her doctoral studies on collective creation in the new Colombian theatre after having spent two years in Colombia for fieldwork. She has been engaged in the mediation of cultural and academic exchange between performance artists and academics of Latin America and Europe for more than ten years.
