Dr. Paul Metayo was interested in the effect of the Lao Resistant Forces in Laos. It was a fight against the communist government in Laos from 1975 to 1995. In 1973, the US forces began to withdraw from Vietnam. As a result, the Royal Lao Government signed an agreement with the communist forces. The fact was the Royal Lao government would not have any budget to continue the fight against the Pathetlao and north Vietnamese forces alone. Therefore, they ordered its armed forces to surrender. However, soldiers started to form resistant forces and continued the fight against the new regime. The communist government
