Presently, in our absolute post-modern times, the notion and implications of a Risk Society have properly infiltrated social thought, albeit with a degree of perplexity and resistance. It starts with a seeming contraposition: Capitalism can be humanistic. It is worth mentioning that the act of generating wealth is not solely aimed at accumulating financial resources. He coordinates the PhD, Master's and Bachelor's programs, as well as the Research Center, and teaches Economic Law at the Department of Tax, Economic, and Business Law at the School of Law with PUC-SP. He is the leader of the Humanistic Capitalism Research Group with PUC-SP, registered with the National Council of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq) Research Directory and immortalized as holder of Seat # 32 at the São Paulo Academy of Law. Wagner Balera is a Full Professor of Human Rights at the School of Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). He is an Associate Professor of Social Security Law, PhD in Social Relations Law, and Master of Tax Law by PUC-SP. He coordinates the Sérgio Vieira de Melo Pontifical Chair, dedicated to the International Rights of Refugees and the result of a partnership between PUC-SP and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in addition to coordinating the PhD, Master's and Bachelor's programs, as well as the Social Security Law Research Center, and teaching Human Rights at the Department of Individual and Collective Rights with the School of Law with PUC-SP.
