This volume of poetry focuses on love, relationships, life experiences, motivation and inspiration to script words that could only reflect what the heart wants to speak. We all have been involved in relationships that have proven themselves good, great or heart-wrenching. Readers consistently share that familiarizing themselves with specific poems in this book have helped them better deal with, reflect, and accept these experiences. As a result, they feel better (not the only one dealing with these type issues), change their focus and are able to press forward.

Author Biography

Teresa Short Mitchell was born October, 1961, the third oldest of ten children, reared in Brooklyn, Georgia (the outskirts of the small town of Richland), graduated Valedictorian from Stewart-Quitman High School, with Honors from Tuskegee Institute (now Tuskegee University), and holds an Educational Specialist degree from Troy State University (earning a 4.0 in the Masters and Educational Specialist degree programs), and has served as an administrator for Harris County and Fulton County Schools. She began her educational career as a teacher in Pinellas County (Florida) and has taught for Fort Benning Schools (Georgia). She has been writing short stories, speeches and poetry since high school, and has several pieces published in the International House of Poetry. She frequently shares her gifts and talents at school functions and churches by reciting, motivating, presenting and/or introducing others with inspirational words of wisdom. She recently published a children's book entitled, The Bathroom Tells On Me which has been selected top 8 out of 15,000 authors. She currently works as a nationally certified education consultant for classroom management.
