by Austin-Alexius Klein (Author)
This book focuses on the internal battle for LGBT pride in the midst of grief, doubt, and self-destruction.
It is the poetry equivalent of a mixtape--inspired by Emily Brontë's "Wuthering Heights." "Harm Unlimited" documents the experience of falling in love North Dakota, where pride is under attack from the outside and within oneself. It could be described as a 7-year battle for closure and control, as well as liberation and recovery. The photographs are all filtered through a red lens to symbolize a state of emergency, a warning signal, as well as the lights of a dance floor, and ultimately, a wound.
