I think about the kids who have no good role model in their lives. Whether they are being pulled into the gangs, or are bullied by others, or just feel so alone and unloved, the bible offers fulfillment and joy. It's the ultimate teacher and Christ is our best friend. There are so many competing voices for the young to hear. It's crucial they learn where truth abounds, and true wisdom is available to all who ask. The bible is God's love letter to us. Granpa's Eyes is not for the children whose home life is well-structured and where the parents encourage an active church and social life. But perhaps these same kids have a friend who needs to hear a common sense approach to life.
