Fire Captain Mack McWhirter is a busy man. Likewise, his girlfriend Samantha has her hands full with her Circle Star Cowboy Complex. The burden of responsibility is a wedge being driven into the heart of their relationship. She agrees to accompany him on a trip to New Mexico to deliver some saddles to his customer, Booger Red Privett. Mack is glad for the opportunity to reconnect with Samantha but realizes all too soon, absence does make the heart grow fonder.
