J. Kopczyk overcame being labeled as a learning-disabled child to graduate from high school in 1993. While in high school, he won awards for creative writing. He earned his degree from the University of Michigan in 1999. He was asked to consider a position in the writing center at the University and also received awards for higher education while at the University of Michigan.\u003c\/p\u003e Gene and his wife Jennifer live in Michigan, where he now owns a multidimensional company. He and Jennifer also own For Life Health and Fitness, a fitness studio where the trainers set their own schedule and be their own boss.
