Carey teaches European history at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in upstate New York. He has published extensively on sixteenth-century Ireland and is currently finishing a book tentatively titled \u003ci\u003eMurder on the Border of the Pale: A Sixteenth-Century Irish Micro-History.\u003c\/i\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eValerie McGowan-Doyle is Professor of History at Lorain County Community College and Adjunct Associate Professor of History at Kent State University.
