Author Biography
Augustus G. Van Slyke devotes his time to promoting the belief that humans' first, and most sacred, obligation is to protect our children. Van Slyke is a member of PROTECT, a national, pro-child, anti-crime association, and of Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAP). He is currently a hospice volunteer, has volunteered with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, is a former member of the US Twenty-Fifth Infantry Division during the Vietnam War, and is a lifetime member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Digging Up Bones is an extension of actual police reports, victims' testimony, perpetrator testimony, and personal stories that have been told to me by perfect strangers for my first book, Angels Never Lie.
Van Slyke lives with his wife in Scottsdale, Arizona. They have three children.
