This book is unlike many others because it is a true description of my battle as a fibro-warrior. It goes in detail of different things that I have went through since being diagnosed. It shows the love, courage, and battle that I have endured during this complete change of my life
Author Biography
I am a fibromyalgia-warrior. A busy mom of 4 teenagers, who dreams of taking advocacy of silent illnesses to the next level. I was diagnosed at the age of 30 with Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome, plus a slew of other medical conditions. This is where my new life and journey began with countless procedures, and medical visits to hospitals and clinics. I want to help others the best of my ability to show them that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Also, by giving them some of the tools that I used to help me with the process of learning to be myself once again. Many books have been written about PTSD, Fibromyalgia, and Chronic Pain Syndrome; however, not many have actually been written by someone experiencing the actual conditions. This book goes into explicit detail of my life and situations I have endured since even before my diagnosis. My overall goal is to help anyone I can and make these invisible illnesses be more understood from a patients' perspective. Showing others who have these conditions that there are resources, support, and strength in numbers along this journey. This book took a lot of courage to write and make public what I have went through in my life. It started as a journaling project from my counselor. For the longest time I wasn't ready to share my experiences in full detail; hence the name "Scarlett Raine". I decided though to reach more people and make them aware of even my most embarrassing situations would be the best way to help others in their journey. Without my family and great friends, I would not have made it to where I stand today! They have been my rock during these rough years! I love them greatly, and a strong support team is of the utmost importance in dealing with these conditions. Thank you for reading & Gentle Hugs!
