Therefore, these studies are not solely relevant to surgical strategies and the choice of implant, but also focus on the whole process of treating patients after they have suffered a hip fracture. This Special Issue presents research on the whole treatment process, starting with pre-surgery risk stratification, followed by the results of studies on novel implants and strategies in the surgical treatment of hip fractures, as well as the impact of patient-associated factors, like malnutrition and anticoagulation, on the outcome of hip fracture diagnosis.
